Purpose

We exist to support community physicians in their research endeavors. Our services allow physicians to enjoy the benefits of an in-house research program while maintaining focus on patient care. The result is superb research patient protections and quality data output. No other research firm customizes its services to fit the needs of the client. While managing the full spectrum of a research program is our specialty, we offer the same expertise on a project basis. Even well-established programs find themselves in need of support. O2CR stands ready to partner with physician client programs of every size and stage of development.

Experience

O2CR brings clients 17 years of clinical research experience. From initial interest in a study to its close-out, we have successfully executed every activity during the life-cycle of a study over and over again. We’ve met challenges with clients and worked with each to assess, correct, and implement change when necessary. One of our greatest strengths is integration. We work with each client’s clinical and administrative staff to keep practice disruption low without sacrificing compliance. Study indications we have managed include:

  • cardiology

  • dermatology

  • endocrinology

  • imaging

  • internal medicine

  • interventional cardiology

  • oncology

  • orthopedics

  • otolaryngology

  • podiatry

  • rheumatology

  • wound care

  • vaccine

Leadership

Michelle LoMonaco has been a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) through the Society of Clinical Research Associates since 2005. She spent 11 years with the 501 (c)(3) organization Cancer Research Network, Inc. led by world-renowned breast cancer expert Dr. Charles Vogel. In the early years she held positions in data management, regulatory affairs, study coordination, and management of operations for the company which was dedicated to breast cancer research. She would later become Director of Operations, a position she held for 5 years. During that time, she helped further build the network of hematologists/oncologists and diversified the company’s lines of business to include other medical and hematologic oncology clinical trials.

From there, she joined Atlantic Clinical Research Collaborative (ACRC), a Palm Beach based, dedicated research company to spearhead their efforts of building clinical research programs in a network of partnering community practices. She was Site Network Director for the ACRC divisions; ACRC-Otolaryngology, ACRC-Dermatology, and Orthopedic Research Institute. She then went on to serve as Site Director for the company’s flagship location leading a team of 15 to support internal medicine, rheumatology, endocrinology, and orthopedics research.

Now, having almost two decades of research experience she is Executive Director of O2CR. The excitement of bringing much needed, custom support to clients who are as passionate about the importance of clinical research as she is, remains.
